Our community programmes

Our community programmes

We reach thousands of children through our community investment and learning initiatives.

Muskaan, our STEM learning initiative

日本一本道最新高清无码Muskaan is a STEM learning initiative conceived by Rolls-Royce and supported by to increase interest and encourage learning amongst students taking Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) subjects.

Throughout India

Muskaan is active in 12 schools in Bengaluru, New Delhi, Navi Mumbai and Pune. Through this, we plan to reach out to at least 2,000 students annually who will be directly guided and encouraged to supplement their understanding of STEM concepts through special activities and learning tools.

The programme contributes to enhanced learning among children through special activities using kits-based learning and other need based intervention. In the long term, objective would be to build capacities of teachers and schools, and NGOs who are active in helping children with learning difficulties to help them adopt STEM in their daily life.

Buddy system

日本一本道最新高清无码Under Muskaan, we also run a “Buddy Programme” for 150 students at Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, where the school pairs learners so that the twosome can help each other better understand STEM concepts. The programme works towards reducing gap between the academic performances of diverse sets of learners in normal school curriculum through joint participation and creating opportunities for everyone.

Beyond learning

日本一本道最新高清无码We have also extended the scope of Muskaan by supporting ‘The Akshay Patra Foundation’ for mid-day meal scheme in Bangalore. In this pilot initiative, ~200 students will be provided free nutritious meal during school hours in Bangalore.

Chevening Rolls-Royce Science and Innovation Leadership Programme (CRISP)

日本一本道最新高清无码CRISP scholarship is funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Rolls-Royce for mid-career top level people in the field of science and innovation - with links to public policy - in India & Sri Lanka.

日本一本道最新高清无码CRISP exposes young future leaders from India & Sri Lanka to a range of innovation management processes in the UK with an emphasis on connections between research, innovation, policy and leadership.

Nurturing future leaders

A unique STEM initiative, this programme provides a platform for future leaders who are building their careers in science related industries to form a community of science and innovation experts. The programme is about building long lasting professional association with fellows representing diverse professions bound by common thread of technology and innovation.

日本一本道最新高清无码In 2015, the CRISP fellows formally registered a not-for-profit entity – CRISP Social Ventures, to promote science and innovation as a means to development.

Tamana

is a non-profit voluntary organisation that helps the cause of mentally challenged, multiply disabled and autistic.

Inclusion beyond boundaries

We also support Tamana's Annual fashion show for inclusion - a fund raiser event. The fashion show gives children, from prestigious schools all over Delhi, as well as differently-abled children the opportunity to walk the ramp for famous India designers.

Tamana Education Series

Since inception of its technology-research lab, Tamana has been researching on developing (audio/visual aids) solutions catering to the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) curriculum.

In 2014, Tamana studied the effect of 2D & 3D Virtual Instructional Modules on the Intellectually Challenged Secondary Students of NIOS.

Results from the analysis demonstrate that 2D&3D instructional modules enhance learning process for the intellectually challenged and boost their performance towards learning.

Based on the success of the research, Tamana conceptualised an online educational series which combine video lectures/ test series and educational games on a mobile application. These mobile applications can be used by the intellectually challenged as well as children with normal learning abilities.

Our support cover the entire NIOS content with 2D/3D educational animation and moving visual media and include free of cost mobile application which would include video lectures & animation for Class 10th NIOS Curriculum.

NFBM School for Blind Girls

日本一本道最新高清无码There are nearly 13 million blind/partially sighted people in India, and another estimate puts the number of low vision cases at 28 million.

Education, Training & Rehabilitation are the three most critical aspects for a blind person to bring about quality improvement in their lives.

日本一本道最新高清无码 is a social organisation that strives for equality of opportunity for the blind in their education, training and employment. The organisation has started a school for blind girls.

A helping hand

日本一本道最新高清无码The School houses over 140 blind girls from the rural Maharashtra, and provide free facilities including lodging, boarding, education and medical assistance to the students. The School offers education upto 7th standard in its own premises, after which the students are shifted to the Integrated School at Sant Dynaneshwar High School, Alandi Devachi.

We support the students’ expenses and help set up of labs that will help the girls learn Maths and Science.

Agastya International Foundation supported by R Jhunjhunwala Foundation and Others

Agastya International Foundation

is a charitable education trust that runs the world’s largest mobile hands-on science education programme for economically disadvantaged children and teachers.

Through all its programmes, Agastya has reached over 8 million children and 200,000 teachers in 18 states in India.
日本一本道最新高清无码By making practical, hands-on science education accessible to rural government schools, Agastya aims to transform and stimulate the thinking of underprivileged children and teachers.

日本一本道最新高清无码The Mobile Science Lab (MSL) is a powerful and innovative instrument to revolutionize rural education and make hands-on education increasingly accessible.

Each MSL travels to the doorstep of remote schools with over 100 hands-on science models covering a wide range of topics in Biology, Chemistry and Physics for Class 5 through 10.

日本一本道最新高清无码The teaching approach is consistent with the National Curriculum Framework and the topics overlap the NCERT syllabus. There are also experiments not directly related to the state syllabus but are intended to spark curiosity among the children.

Hands on science sessions per month will be conducted in the schools by the instructors of the MSL. They will also conduct science fairs, teacher training sessions, train Young Instructors (YI) and reach community members through night community visits.

The programme will be implemented in Pune district (Maharashtra) & Uttara Kannada district (Karnataka).
